Next you will need to separate the upper shell from the base. It is held onto the base by two pivots at the rear and two small retaining clips at the front.

Slide the screwdriver in between the upper shell and the base where a guide has been moulded into the plastic.

Gently pushing the screwdriver outwards, ease the base upwards out of the upper shell.

Wiggle the front free from the retaining clips.

You will then need to disconnect two ribbon cables connecting the upper shell with the base.

They are connected to the main circuit board on the base via small locking connectors.

To release the cable, using your fingernail, push on the black part of the connector, on both sides, in the same direction as the ribbon cable goes.

It should move out about 2mm or so and will allow you, without any resistance, to pull the ribbon cable out.
